While that would not be a big deal for most teams, it was a big gap between championships by the Huskies’ standards. As a result, the team is now focused on competing for the championship again in 2026. On Friday, the UConn Women’s Basketball X account revealed the team’s non-conference schedule for next season.
“Ready to get the 2025-26 season going. The non-conference schedule is HERE.”

The non-conference schedule includes two exhibition games before the season. The team will play Boston College in an exhibition matchup on Oct. 13, followed by Southern Connecticut on Oct. 26.
The UConn Huskies Will Compete in Three Marquee Neutral Site Events This Season
As part of the schedule reveal on Friday, it was announced that the Huskies will compete in three marquee neutral-site events. The first will be in the season opener as the Huskies play against Louisville in the Armed Forces Classic on the Ramstein Air Base in Germany on Nov. 4.
Additionally, the team will play against the Michigan Wolverines and the Utah Utes at Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut for the Basketball Hall of Fame Women’s Showcase at Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut on Nov. 21 and 23, respectively. The arena is the home of the Connecticut Sun in the WNBA.
The UConn Huskies Non-Conference Schedule Features Matchups Against Some of the Top Teams From Last Season
One of the most notable aspects of the UConn Huskies’ schedule reveal is how many top teams they need to play against next season. The Huskies announced 11 regular-season games against non-conference opponents, and 10 of them are against teams that ranked within the top 35 of the NCAA NET rankings last year.
The match against Notre Dame is expected to be one of the most difficult ones of the season for the Huskies. The Fighting Irish are a historic rival of the Huskies and were the No. 4-ranked team last season. The team also plays against USC, which was the No. 6-ranked team. The Huskies hold a sizable edge in the rivalry with a 39-16 record. However, Notre Dame has won the past three matchups, including a 79-68 win last season.
The Huskies will close out their non-conference schedule against another historic rival, Tennessee, on Feb. 1. UConn has the edge in the rivalry with a 17-10 record.
