“Buddy Think He Tom Brady After 1 Good Season” – Jayden Daniels Faces Criticism After Commanders QB Allegedly Kicks Teammate Out For False Start

Former LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels took the NFL world by storm last season. After getting selected by the Washington Commanders with the second pick in the 2024 NFL draft, Daniels broke out and won the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award. He also led the Commanders to two playoff wins and an appearance in the NFC Championship Game. There are now many who view him as a top 10 quarterback in the league already.

NFL training camps have now started, and Daniels is taking a bigger leadership role. On Thursday, a report came out that Daniels kicked a teammate out of the huddle at practice because of a false start penalty. He reportedly did not want players in the huddle who are not playing at “this level.”

This led to a big reaction from fans, including some who said he has too big of an ego after one good season.

“Buddy think he Tom Brady after 1 good season that ended in a blowout,” one fan wrote.

“So when he throws a pick or fumbles?” one fan commented.

“Great way to segregate a team real fast. That’s not leadership. That’s a coaches place to discipline,” one fan added.

Fans continued to react in the comments.

“So what will he do if he screws something up? Doesn’t feel like leadership to me?” one fan wrote.

“Thats not leadership lol. Leadership is helping your teammates get better and taking accountability,” one fan commented.

“Cuz better not throw a pick all year since hes at such a high level,” one fan added.

Jayden Daniels Has Noticed a Big Difference in His Game From a Year Ago

Part of the reason Jayden Daniels is taking a more active leadership role with the Commanders during training camp this year is because of the difference in his game. On Thursday, Daniels spoke about how he feels heading into camp this year compared to last season and called it “night and day.”

One of the chief reasons he feels better about his game is that he is more comfortable with the offensive system. Now that he has been on the team for a year, he does not need to learn the offensive scheme from scratch. While there will be new plays for him to learn, he has a good base that allows him to focus more on his play on the field.
