‘Yes Sir’: Deion Sanders Jr. Flaunts Travis Hunter’s Jersey at Colorado Book Store

Deion Sanders Jr. seems ready for Travis Hunter’s rookie season at Jacksonville. The eldest son of Deion Sanders, who has heavily covered the Colorado Buffaloes through his social media handles over the last two seasons, recently published to his Instagram story a video of him buying a brand new Travis Hunter Jacksonville Jaguars jersey.

“Check out the Travis (Hunter) jersey at the Buffs store. Yes, sir.” Said Deion Sanders Jr. in the video

Hunter played for two seasons at Colorado, having transferred to the school from Jackson State when Deion Sanders also made the change. From the start in 2023, Hunter impressed the public by playing on both sides of the ball. However, his year was cut short at times due to injuries.

It was in 2024 that he broke through the mainstream and mesmerized the nation, playing almost every snap of football for Colorado while being their leading defensive back and wide receiver. This led to him winning the 2024 Heisman Trophy and becoming the second overall pick of the 2025 NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Seen in a new light, the criticisms Deion Sanders and son Shedeur Sanders were subjected to around the time of the 2025 NFL Draft are harsh to say the least. Now we know that around those days, Deion Sanders was dealing with a cancer diagnosis and then with an important surgical procedure to remove a tumor from his bladder.

This is what Deion Sanders Jr. got into on Monday, in an episode of “The Morning Run.”, where he asked people to take into account that everyone is going through their own struggles, before criticizing them:

“He was dealing with this back in the spring and throughout the whole draft,” he said during Monday’s episode of “The Morning Run.” “People were celebrating when [Shedeur Sanders] didn’t get drafted in the first or third round.”

“It’s like you don’t really know what the family is going through during this whole time. Y’all don’t know none of that.”

Sanders underwent surgery, is now considered cancer-free, and has stated he plans to lead Colorado for the 2025 season.
