Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes is still early in his professional baseball career, but has already become a big name in the baseball community. Part of the reason for that is his relationship with former LSU gymnast Olivia Dunne. While Dunne retired from gymnastics in April, she still has a big career as an influencer, amassing 5.4 million followers on Instagram.
Dunne has also gotten plenty of attention for her career as a model for Sports Illustrated. With SI, she has modeled swimwear and become one of the faces of the brand. While she was not posing for Sports Illustrated on Tuesday, she posed in a blue bikini for her Instagram story, sharing a post from her summer break at Long Beach Island.

Olivia Dunne made her Sports Illustrated swimsuit debut in 2023 and has since appeared as a model for the company several times. At the time, she spoke about the importance of being a role model for girls who look up to her. She emphasized that she wants to show other athletes that they can have it all.
“Women’s sports is something that I want to support and leave my legacy on,” Dunne said. “I want to show other athletes that you can have it all — especially women.”
She also spoke about her excitement about being an SI swimsuit model and her reaction when she first got the call.
“When I first got the call, I honestly was in disbelief,” Dunne said. “That’s the best word to describe it. I got off the phone, I was screaming and jumping around, and I called my mom immediately, and I think I cried.”

Paul Skenes and Olivia Dunne met while they were both competing for the LSU Tigers in 2023. While the couple has not revealed the exact time they got together, Dunne could be seen wearing a Skene jersey as early as June 2023.

Since then, the couple have not tried to keep their relationship private. They are seen together on social media often and even do interviews together sometimes.
One of the most heartwarming moments in their relationship came in 2024 when Dunne helped surprise Skenes by telling him that he was an MLB all-star in his rookie season.
