Deion Sanders had been away from his head coaching duties due to his health battles with an unspecified condition. It kept him at his Texas residence for the last two months and resulted in a weight loss of over 14 pounds.
After visiting his son, Shilo, in Tampa during the Bucs’ training camp, Coach Prime is now back in Boulder and is gradually resuming his duties.
Deion Sanders visited the university after his arrival with his son Deion Sanders Jr. who showed fans the Colorado field after a long time through his vlog. The clip also witnessed the Colorado head coach heading to a staff meeting.
Warren Sapp, who is promoted from being a senior quality control analyst to a pass rusher coordinator, also gave the fans a glimpse of a beautiful view of Colorado as he made his way to the university.

Deion Sanders Opens Up About Being a Head Coach After Sons’ Move to NFL
Deion Sanders put the Colorado Buffaloes back on the college football map when he took the job in December 2022. The job became even more special because he had the chance to coach his sons Shilo and Shedeur on the field and be their dad off the field.
The father-sons trio had an impressive year in the 2024 college football season when they ended the year with an overall record of 9-4.
However, many analysts bet against Deion Sanders, saying that he will leave the Buffaloes as soon as his sons get out, which didn’t happen as Coach Prime ended up signing an extension contract with the Buffaloes.
Talking about his mindset now that his sons have moved to the next part of their careers, Deion Sanders said on the Big 12 Media Days:
“Now I only have to be a coach. I don’t have the coach and a dad,” Sanders said during a segment with ESPN. “You’ve got to understand, when you’re the coach and the dad … make sure you watch the defense, make sure you watch the offense, but you want to watch your kids as well. I don’t have to have that dilemma. Now I can just pour into everything I got into all of these young men.”
