Billy Napier, Brent Venables, Eli Drinkwitz, and More Rip SEC Visiting Locker Rooms in Hilarious Ranking Segment

The SEC is one of the most competitive conferences in college football. It is filled with prestigious programs that have won a huge percentage of the national championships over the past several decades. This has led to a lot of friendly trash talk and banter between fans, coaches and players on different SEC teams.

On Thursday, the SEC Network posted a clip on X where they asked the SEC head coaches to rank the best opposing locker rooms. Rather than mention their favorites, most of the coaches instead chose to talk about how bad most of the opposing locker rooms are. Most of them did not mention specific programs, except Missouri head coach Eli Drinkwitz, who took the opportunity to rip Tennessee’s locker room.

“A great story Mark Robinson tells is that when Coach Petrino was the head coach of Arkansas, they actually paid to make their visitors’ locker rooms worse,” Drinkwitz said. “The worst? Tennessee, not even close. Terrible.”

Florida head coach Billy Napier also had an interesting answer, quickly summing up his thoughts on the SEC’s visiting locker rooms.

“First of all, that’s a challenging question because they’re all terrible,” Napier said.

One of the kinder answers came from Oklahoma head coach Brent Venables. While he is entering his fourth season as the Sooners’ coach, it will only be his second in the SEC. As a result, he is not as familiar with the visiting accommodations as other coaches. He even praised Auburn for its amenities.

“I went to Auburn and I had my own little cabana,” Venables said. “It wasn’t a cabana, but I had my own little house. They need to get a TV in there.”

Georgia Head Coach Kirby Smart Sums Up the SEC Coaches’ Opinions on SEC Locker Rooms

Kirby Smart has been the head coach of the Georgia Bulldogs since 2016, and the team has been in the SEC the entire time. As a result, he is one of the longest tenured head coaches in the SEC. He summed up the general sentiment from the coaches with a brief comment about the state of visiting locker rooms in the conference.

“There should be a documentary done on SEC road locker rooms,” Smart said. “They’re decrepit, including ours.”

Smart even showed some humility in his comment, including Georgia as a team that does not have great visiting accommodations.
