Former Colorado Buffaloes safety Shilo Sanders played for several seasons under his father, Deion Sanders, in college. Now, he is preparing for his first NFL season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. His father has expressed pride in his son, even visiting him at Bucs training camp. However, Coach Prime is not the only proud parent in the family. His ex-wife, Pilar Sanders, has also shown pride in her son for reaching the NFL.
On Friday, Pilar Sanders posted a clip of Shilo Sanders from the training camp to her Instagram story. She included a short caption, showing her pride in her son.
“Shilo Sanders with a PBU in training camp,” Pilar Sanders wrote, adding two fire emojis.
In the clip, the Bucs are running a scrimmage drill and the quarterback receives the ball in the pocket. He then makes a short pass to a receiver, but it is broken up by Shilo Sanders.
While Sanders appears to be making a good impression at Bucs training camp, his spot on the roster is not guaranteed. He does not have the same high reputation as his brother, quarterback Shedeur Sanders. He was not selected in the 2025 NFL draft and instead was signed by the Bucs as an undrafted free agent. As a result, he will need to continue to impress the coaching staff to ensure he earns a roster spot this season.
Deion Sanders Visits Shilo Sanders at Tampa Bay Buccaneers Training Camp
Pilar Sanders was not the only parent to show support for Shilo Sanders at training camp this week. Deion Sanders made an appearance at the stars of Bucs training camp on Wednesday. He posted several photos from his visit to his Instagram account.
“Had to visit Tampa to see Shilo Sanders,” Deion Sanders captioned his post.

This visit came after Deion Sanders promised to visit both of his sons at the start of their NFL training camps. Earlier this season, he told Shilo he would visit him first before traveling to Cleveland to visit Shedeur Sanders.
“I’m going to try my best to run a plane and come down and see you, then go see Shedeur, then go to work,” Deion Sanders said. “Send me a schedule of the time of practice.”
Shedeur Sanders was a fifth-round pick of the Cleveland Browns in the 2025 NFL draft.
