“Prime Resign Incoming”: CFB Fans Left Speculating As Deion Sanders Gears Up To Hold Press Conference With Medical Team Upon Colorado Return

College football fans are wondering what Deion Sanders might want to say after he arranged a press conference on Monday.

According to college football insider, Brett McMurphy, the Colorado football head coach and his medical team, including representatives from CU Anschutz & UCHealth, will address the media about fall camp Monday to “provide team & general updates.”

This sent football fans wondering whether Coach Prime will announce that he is resigning from his position in Colorado due to ongoing health concerns.

“Prime resign incoming,” one fan wrote.

Others added fuel to the fire. One fan added:

“Brother has planned his way out”

“My guess he steps down..,” another fan wrote.

“His way out of CU is being laid,” wrote user AbelGaming (@IIIIINASTYIIIII).

Though no official details have been released about the topic of the press conference, speculation continues to swirl.

“Brett, you’re not a very good person!” one fan lashed out at McMurphy, who provided the update.

Another user @John_D added: “Fu Brett.”

Some fans acknowledged the potential end of a unique era in Boulder.

“Daddy ball is complete… respect. And just like most of us called it,” said Shane (@Shaner25), referencing Sanders’ sons Shedeur and Shilo, since both of them have left Colorado to join NFL.

    Meanwhile, one fan suggested:

    “He’s laying the groundwork.”

A lot of speculation is arising with respect to Deion Sanders who have had his troubles. In 2021, due to severe blood clots, he had to amputate his toes. Few years ago, he had another surgery for blood clots in his legs.

Coach Prime stayed at his Texas estate during the entire spring and summer. While he has not mentioned what he’s suffering from, he said in June that due to his condition he has lost over 14 pounds of weight.

Colorado athletic director Rick George said that they are expecting Sanders to return to campus “in a week or two, probably.” At the Big 12 Media Days, Sanders chose not to discuss his health.

“Athletic, sometimes y’all be on that bulljunk, so I’m really not gonna tell you much,” Sanders said. “You know that. But I’m not gonna talk about my health. I’m here to talk about my team.”

On Friday, Sanders tweeted a four-word message, suggesting that he might have finally arrived in Boulder and is feeling better already. He wrote:

    “Back and Feeling Great!”

It remains to be seen what Deion Sanders has to say at the press conference.
