‘Get Rid of Her Now’: Hoops Fans React As Angel Reese Risks Potential Suspension From Chicago Sky Over Too Many Fouls

Former LSU star Angel Reese is one of the biggest stars in the WNBA and one of its best players. Despite only being in her second year in the WNBA, she has already established herself as one of the top players in the world. However, her game still has several flaws that she needs to work out.

Notably, the Chicago Sky has struggled with discipline this season. She leads the league in technical fouls with seven, two ahead of Washington’s Shakira Austin, who has five. While this causes problems in games because of the loss of points, each incident is not the end of the world. However, it causes a problem because once a player gets eight technical fouls, they are automatically suspended for a game. This was brought up in a post by Yahoo Sports on Instagram on Thursday.

With the Chicago Sky in the hunt for a playoff spot, fans reacted to a possible suspension for Reese.

“Get rid of the coward. She’s destroying the league for everyone, they’re losing moneys every year, and she’s causing sponsors to back away. Get rid of her now before it folds,” one fan wrote.

“Saying Reese is their “best player” while also mentioning “playoffs” is quite ironic!” one fan commented.

“Believe it or not. She’s leading the league,” one fan added.

Fans continued to react in the comments.

“Those fouls should’ve been reported because some were bad calls,” one fan wrote.

“The Refs have been cheating anyway when it comes to Angel and that’s the truth,” one fan commented.

“Hopefully she gets suspended indefinitely!” one fan added.

Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky Are Trying to Push for a Playoff Spot

The biggest problem with Angel Reese being suspended for a game is that every game is valuable for the Chicago Sky. The Sky are in the mix to qualify for the playoffs, but they are currently on the outside looking in. The Washington Mystics currently hold the final playoff spot and have 11 wins. The Sky currently sit third-last in the league but have seven wins and are still in the mix.

If the Chicago Sky can turn things around even a little bit, they could qualify for the playoffs. However, losing one of their best players for even one game could prove costly for their playoff hopes.
