South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley was in Indianapolis for the WNBA All-Star Game, meeting some of her old players and interacting with the who’s who of the basketball world. This includes her former player at South Carolina, Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson, who led Staley’s Gamecocks to a national title in 2017.
During the All-Star Game, the two South Carolina legends were hugging it out when A’ja Wilson’s boyfriend, Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo, appeared behind Staley and gave Wilson a very special handshake.

This hilarious interaction as Adebayo was waiting his turn to greet his girlfriend caught the attention of many hoops fans.
“I love their handshake 😭,” said one fan.
“Dawn funny as sh** 😂😂” added another person.
“While the do a secret handshake 🤣 this how I want my next relationship to be lol we together but we ain’t,” added another commenter.

Adebayo and Wilson have been dating for a few months now, with the two often spotted together in public. Adebayo was seen sitting next to Spanish basketball legend Pau Gasol, who was also there for the celebration of women’s basketball.
During the All-Star Game, Wilson had limited minutes as she was coming out of a wrist injury. She played for Team Clark, which lost to Team Collier 151-131. She played for just 12 minutes and had 4 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and one steal for the night.

Meanwhile, as Dawn Staley was enjoying the game, the WNBA broadcast team had a bit of fun with her former player, A’ja Wilson and her boyfriend, Bam Adebayo. As the cameras focused on Adebayo and Gasol during the broadcast, they then shifted to Wilson who was ready to talk with the broadcasters and introduced her as Adebayo’s better half.

Back in February this year, Wilson subtly confirmed her relationship with Adebayo. Thus when the camera panned to her as Adebayo’s better half, she just laughed loudly.
