It’s no secret that Angel Reese seems to catch flak constantly from fans. Especially concerning her alleged rivalry with Caitlin Clark.
Clark’s Indiana Fever teammate, Kelsey Mitchell, was asked about this during the events ahead of this Saturday’s WNBA All-Star Game.
For Mitchell, people should stop making it a subject of race, and more focus should be on the human aspect of everything:
“I think it’s important to make sure that we keep it less about color and more about this human and human. I think if you just have decency in common is about what we do as women on the floor. You know that Angel Reese is a bad woman on or off the floor and we as women have to represent that. And I think that she embodies a lot of what this world reflects is happening. And I think she does a great job of making sure she keeps herself professional”

Since her college days, Angel Reese has always had a reputation for bad-mouthing rivals and getting into court clashes. One of the most famous was with Caitlin Clark.
The fact that Clark was one of a handful of top white college basketball players (Alongside the likes of Cameron Brink, Paige Bueckers, and Hailey Van Lith) at the time didn’t help the narrative.
Caitlin Clark To Miss WNBA All Star Game Due to Groin Injury
One of the biggest absentees from the WNBA All-Star Game will be Caitlin Clark, who suffered a recurring groin injury during a game against the Connecticut Sun this week. The player announced the decision through a statement released by the Indiana Fever:
“I’m so excited for Indy to host WNBA All-Star this weekend. I want to thank the Indianapolis Host Committee and all of the people that have put endless work in over the past year to put this event together. I know this will be the best All-Star yet.
“I am incredibly sad and disappointed to say I can’t participate in the 3-Point Contest or the All-Star Game. I have to rest my body. I will still be at Gainbridge Fieldhouse for all the action and I’m looking forward to helping Sandy coach our team to a win. Can’t wait to see you all out there!”

Caitlin Clark was selected as one of the captains of this year’s WNBA All-Star Game. Not only that, but the game is set to be played in front of the Indiana Fever’s home crowds, with the franchise hosting the event for the first time in history.
Clark’s season has been rocked by injuries, with her losing 10 games so far this season. The midweek victory, 85-77 over the Connecticut Sun, was just her fourth game back after a five-game absence due to the groin injury. She also missed a later defeat, 77-98, this week against the New York Liberty.
