“Not Going To Be Able To Keep Him off the Property” — Deion Sanders Voices Hilarious Concern Over DeSean Jackson’s Fishing Day Achievement at $5.5M Texas Ranch

DeSean Jackson recently visited Deion Sanders’ ranch in Canton, Texas, and they went on a fishing trip together. Jackson’s visit could be a sign of support for Sanders, who has been dealing with an undisclosed health issue over the last few months at his Texas estate.

It could also be a way of Coach Prime acknowledging and appreciating recent comments by the Delaware State Hornets head coach, who thanked Sanders for opening doors in coaching for former players.

During their recent trip, DeSean Jackson caught a fish of significant size, prompting Deion Sanders to say (via YouTube channel ‘Well Off Media):

“I’m not going to be able to keep him off the property. He catch a few more buggy, he going to be at the gate like a crackhead. “

To this, Jackson clapped back, saying that when Coach Prime returns to the Colorado Buffaloes, he will use his vacation days to visit the property and spend leisure time without supervision.

Deion Sanders Labels Colorado ‘Better Team’ in Post-Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter Era

Conventional wisdom is that coming into the 2025 season, the Colorado Buffaloes are not as good as they were in 2024.

This is mainly because they lost key players to the NFL roster. While two-way starter and Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars, starting quarterback and Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award winner Shedeur Sanders was picked by the Cleveland Browns.

However, in Deion Sanders’ first public address in months at the Big 12 media days, the Colorado coach said exactly the opposite.

“They were great players. We have a better team,” Sanders said (via Athlon Sports). “There’s a difference between great players and a great team. We have a better team, but we can never replace those types of players. It may take three players on offense to replace a Travis Hunter. It may take two players to replace a Shedeur Sanders, and that’s what we brought here.”

2025 is a key season for Deion Sanders, as it will show if he’s able to build upon the nine-win 2024 season or if it was just a fluke for him to carry the Buffaloes to a positive record. Many believe that in the long run, Sanders’ charisma alone wouldn’t be enough to attract players of the caliber necessary to compete.

2025 will be the first season for Deion Sanders without the players he was able to bring in with him from Jackson State, especially Hunter and his son, Shedeur. Only time will tell if he can perform without them.
