Caitlin Clark and Kate Martin have reunited, and Gabbie Marshall is living for it. The former Iowa teammates turned WNBA stars met up on Wednesday as Martin’s Golden State Valkyries traveled to Indiana to face off against Clark’s Fever.
The Valkyries shared a photo of the two ballers embracing on Instagram.
”Everyone’s favorite besties back in the Midwest🫶,” the Instagram caption read.
Clark and Martin’s fellow former Hawkeye Marshall reposted the heartwarming moment to her Instagram story and added a four-word reaction.
“🥹🥹 my heart is happy,” Marshall wrote.

Wednesday’s game was an important one for Clark. Along with reuniting with Martin, it marked the Fever star’s return to the court.
Clark missed five games for Indiana with a groin injury after being sidelined for three weeks with a left quadriceps strain earlier this season.
Clark rejoined the lineup for Wednesday’s matchup against the Valkyries. The star guard played 25 minutes, during which she put up 10 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. She knocked down 33.3% of her shots, including 40% from beyond the arc.
In the end, the Valkyries secured an 80-61 victory over the Fever, with Veronica Burton posting 21 points. Currently, the Fever are seventh in the standings with nine wins and 10 losses, while the Valkyries are above them at the sixth spot with 10 victories and nine defeats.
Iowa fans were in for a treat on Wednesday as Clark returned to her WNBA squad and battled against best friend and former teammate Kate Martin.
Caitlin Clark selects her WNBA All-Star squad
Caitlin Clark’s team for the WNBA All-Star game is set. The Indiana Fever star is a team captain this season after receiving a record-breaking 1,293,526 fan votes.
Clark and fellow captain Napheesa Collier drafted their teams for the All-Star matchup on ESPN Tuesday night. Clark was awarded the top pick and selected Fever teammate Aliyah Boston to join her team.
With her second pick, Caitlin Clark picked up New York star Sabrina Ionescu. She went on to draft three-time WNBA league MVP A’ja Wilson and Phoenix’s Satou Sabally to round out her starting five.
In her second All-Star appearance and first as a captain, Clark will look to lead the squad she handpicked to victory.
