Hours After Landing NFL Bloodline WR, Notre Dame Picked By 4-Star Speedster Over ACC, Big 12 Powerhouses

Marcus Freeman’s Notre Dame is on a recruiting spree this week, landing some big commitments. They secured the commitment of NFL legend Larry Fitzgerald’s son Devin Fitzgerald on Saturday and just hours later, they were able to land four-star wide receiver Brayden “Quick6ix” Robinson from Red Oak High School, Texas.

Robinson picked Notre Dame over elite ACC and Big 12 programs, including Miami, Arizona, Texas, Texas A&M and Alabama.

At just 5′8″ and 160 pounds, Robinson is an electrifying wide receiver, posting a 10.4-second 100-meter dash. His high school numbers speak for themselves as he has over 150 catches for nearly 2,300 yards during his first three varsity seasons.

247Sports prepared a scouting report on him, which said:

“Electric track speedster who has produced in pads as a receiver and return man. Plays with excellent initial acceleration and requisite top-end speed to hit the long ball. Also a short-to-intermediate playmaker with high-volume targets to complement the chunk plays. From a projection standpoint, a slot receiver who’s a candidate to move around the formation as a personnel-versatile weapon.

“Lack of height and frame-limited build could cap long-term developmental upside. Nevertheless, a legitimate high-major slot receiver prospect with athleticism to provide creative deployment on offense and special teams. Certainly a place in today’s game for this archetype of receiver.”

Brayden Robinson becomes the latest commitment of Notre Dame’s recruiting juggernaut

Brayden Robinson becomes the 25th commit in Notre Dame’s Class of 2026, becoming the fourth Texan to join the Fighting Irish. He was offered by Notre Dame 16 months ago and visited the campus for the first time in January before coming again in April and June.

Robinson previously spoke highly of Marcus Freeman’s program.

“I felt most comfortable there — with the commits and players on the team,” Robinson told Blue & Gold. “I can see myself around those guys; we’re all like-minded people. That was big for me, and the coaching staff is second to none.

“The education there is huge. They preached that the Notre Dame degree can help you do anything in life. That’s definitely big for me. You get to meet the right people and get to where I want to be after I’m done playing football.”

After his commitment, Notre Dame maintained a No. 3 national team composite ranking. He also joins as the fifth wide receiver choice at the Fighting Irish.

Before Robinson made his college decision, Notre Dame landed commitments from fellow Texas WRs Kaydon Finley and Devin Fitzgerald this week.

This week’s recruitment wins will certainly delight wide receivers coach Mike Evans after landing a third wide receiver in a row.
