Johnson and company have made it to the final, to be played on Sunday, Jul 6. They will take on the Brazilian national team. Hilton Jr. is currently gearing up for a comeback to college football after he redshirted his junior year due to a right ankle injury. He has spent all four of his stints with the LSU Tigers as a wide receiver, and will likely play out his final year of eligibility in the 2025-26 season. During his tenure, he met Johnson at LSU, and the two have been public about their relationship.

For Johnson’s case, she is looking to use the experience she is getting from the AmeriCup in preparation for her possible final year of collegiate hoops. Johnson is coming off a 2024-25 season in which the Tigers were eliminated in the Elite Eight of the NCAA tournament by the UCLA Bruins, 72-65.
