While LeBron James already has a moniker, being nicknamed “King James” or “The King,” former Rutgers guard and San Antonio Spurs rookie Dylan Harper has come up with a new nickname for him. In a clip originally posted by Slam magazine, the son of former NBA champion Ron Harper was asked what LeBron’s nickname should be.
“Paul Pierce, The Truth. That’s hard,” Dylan Harper said.
This then led to a person in the background talking about LeBron James having a better nickname than Pierce, and this was Harper’s answer to that:
“What’s Bron’s nickname? God?” Harper answered.
Dylan Harper: “Paul Pierce, The Truth. That’s hard.”
“I feel like Bron’s is better than that.”
Dylan: “What’s [LeBron James’] nickname? God?” 😅

Harper has now signed his rookie contract with the Spurs, as San Antonio adds one of the best college shooters to its already formidable lineup. He is slated to earn $12.37 million for his rookie year with the Spurs and a total of $56.14 million over the course of his first four years in the NBA.
During his freshman season with Rutgers, Harper averaged 19.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.4 steals per game, with many mock drafts agreeing that he is the probable No. 2 overall pick. Their projections were proven correct as the Spurs did pick Harper, even though the team already had an overcrowded rotation for shooting guard.
Dylan Harper Trolls Former Rutgers Teammate Ace Bailey
During his time with the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, Dylan Harper shared the spotlight with fellow freshman star guard Ace Bailey, who was picked No. 5 overall by the Utah Jazz. After over a week of drama regarding Bailey and the Jazz, the No. 5 pick finally held a press conference with the team, and this was when Harper trolled his former teammate.
There were rumors of Bailey not wanting to play with the Jazz as it was not his preferred destination. He reportedly refused to show up to practice and ignored calls from the organization. When he finally held the presser, he was asked some tough questions, which Harper poked fun at by reposting an edited video with a moment in MyPlayer on NB
