Former Michigan Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh has become one of the most respected coaches in football in recent years. His national championship in 2023 with the team helped him get his first head coaching job in the NFL in a decade. Following his national championship win in 2023, Harbaugh became the head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers in the NFL.
While Harbaugh has been focused on his coaching career at both the college and NFL levels, he has also built a big family in that time. He has seven children, including his daughter, Grace, who played water polo at Michigan. On Tuesday, Grace posted a series of photos on Instagram from her recent trip to Hawaii. She also included a video in which she took a daring dive into one of Hawaii’s popular natural tide pools.
“Peace of mind,” Grace Harbaugh wrote.

In the video, Harbaugh shows great form in her dive, which you would expect from someone proficient in water sports.
Grace Harbaugh Is 1 of Jim Harbaugh’s 7 Children
Grace Harbaugh is often active on social media, possibly more so than any of Jim Harbaugh’s children. However, that sort of thing is difficult to track because Harbaugh has seven children from his two marriages.
Harbaugh was first married to Miah Burke from 1996 to 2006. Together, they had three children. Their oldest child, Jay, followed in his father’s footsteps and became a football coach. He started his coaching career as a student assistant at Oregon State in 2008. He has since gone on to have plenty of success. He is now the special teams coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks in the NFL. The couple then had two more children, James and Grace.
Harbaugh got married for a second time to Sarah Harbaugh, two years after the divorce from his previous marriage. The couple is still together to this day. They have four children together, including two daughters, Addison and Katherine, and two sons, Jack and John. Harbaugh’s youngest child, John, was born in 2017. His eldest, Jay, was born in 1989.
While Harbaugh is focused on his family at home, he also remains dedicated to coaching. He is heading into his second year with the Los Angeles Chargers. In his first season, he helped lead the team to an 11-6 record and a playoff appearance. However, they were defeated in the Wild Card round by the Houston Texans.
