Iowa Hawkeyes forward Jada Gyamfi is currently preparing for her senior season of college basketball in the 2025-26 season. While she has been busy working on her game, she shared a photo of herself on her Instagram account on Monday, June 30, in what looks to be an afternoon stroll through the neighborhood.
This has prompted former Hawkeyes superstar and current Indiana Fever All-Star Caitlin Clark to playfully tease Gyamfi with a one-word comment on her post that got the attention of fans and supporters who follow the two college basketball figures.
“Cakeeee,” Clark Wrote.

Clark’s comment has since gotten over a hundred likes from different users on Instagram, including Gyamfi, who liked it herself. Gyamfi and Clark were teammates for two seasons under the tutelage of Hawkeyes coach Lisa Bluder. Clark moved on into the WNBA after the 2023-24 college basketball season, as Gyamfi just finished her junior stint in the 2024-25 campaign.
Currently, Clark is in her second season in the league with coach Stephanie White’s Fever, and was recently named as a 2025 AT&T WNBA All-Star team captain. After her stellar four-year stint at Iowa, Clark immediately entered the league and was the 2024 Rookie of the Year and was selected to that year’s All-Star Game.
Gyamfi has played the last three years with the Hawkeyes and is now under coach Jan Jensen. In those three seasons, the Johnston, Iowa native has dropped 1.3 points and 0.7 rebounds in around 3.9 minutes per game as she looks to gain more playing time next year.
Kylie Feuerbach And AJ Ediger Also Dropped Comments On Jada Gyamfi’s Latest Instagram Post
Apart from Caitlin Clark, a couple of Jada Gyamfi’s Iowa Hawkeyes teammates also dropped comments on her most recent Instagram post. These are seniors Kylie Feuerbach and AJ Ediger, both of whom just wrapped up their fourth year of collegiate hoops in the 2024-25 campaign. Gyamfi liked both of their comments as they also garnered attention from fans and supporters.
“Great choice,” Feuerbach commented.

“I see 2 desserts,” Ediger posted with emojis.

In her four-year tenure with the Hawkeyes, Ediger has averaged 1.7 points and 1.0 rebounds in around 3.5 minutes per contest. For Feuerbach, who spent her first season with Iowa State Cyclones before transferring to the Hawkeyes, she has tallied 4.4 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 18.6 minutes a game.
