On Monday, June 30, Paige Bueckers showed love to her former teammate Aubrey Griffin, who shared a heartwarming message for UConn Nation on Instagram. Bueckers dropped a three-word comment on Griffin’s post, which has already received more than 26,000 likes.
Griffin thanked the Huskies fans and her teammates for the memories throughout her college basketball career. She added that it took her a while to post her farewell message as she had difficulty putting into words what UConn meant to her.

Griffin shared 20 photos in her post, including a picture of her celebrating with coach Geno Auriemma and her teammates following UConn’s 82-59 win over the South Carolina Gamecocks in the 2025 NCAA Tournament final.
Bueckers, who was Griffin’s teammate in that title triumph, commented on her Instagram post.
“My ultimate pookie.”

Bueckers and Griffin started their UConn careers at the same time, playing together for the Huskies in the 2020-21 NCAA season. Bueckers immediately made her presence felt, leading UConn in scoring, assists, and steals in her freshman year. Griffin also contributed in her first season at UConn, averaging 6.2 points and 4.8 boards per contest.

Entering the 2024-25 NCAA campaign, the pressure was on senior players Paige Bueckers and Aubrey Griffin to win the national championship, as this was their final season in the collegiate ranks.
Bueckers and Griffin played their part in helping UConn reach the final of the 2025 NCAA Tournament. Bueckers averaged 26.4 points, 3.6 boards, and 3.4 dimes in the wins over UCLA, USC, Oklahoma, South Dakota State, and Arkansas State. Griffin, on the other hand, averaged 2.5 points and 2.3 rebounds in the Big Dance before the game against South Carolina.

Bueckers and Griffin ended their college careers with a bang, helping the Huskies win their 12th NCAA title. Bueckers scored 17 points and collected six boards in UConn’s 82-59 victory over South Carolina. Griffin made an appearance late in the contest, finishing with two rebounds against the Gamecocks.
