College football is becoming a lucrative sport, as the NIL deals have been pouring money into teams and players all over the country. However, one football analyst claims that there is a college football crisis happening right now, and the NCAA is the one responsible for this.
Analyst Adam Breneman believes chaos is happening all over college football, and this is due to the lack of leadership from the NCAA itself. He then continued that this needs to change and that the focus should only be on the sport itself, not all the distractions happening all around.
“Chaos comes from a lack of leadership. The NCAA, they tried to do this,” Adam Breneman claimed. “The NCAA is a terrible organization. They are done, they’re out. There, they won’t admit it.”
“But so, you talk about leadership and who is actually in charge, there’s no college football commissioner, there is no CEO of college football and there needs to be one,” he added.
Breneman hopes the person in charge works for the “best interests” of the game:
“I mean, I think we are getting closer to that happening, but there needs to be someone who actually someone who looks out for the best interests of college football. Who’s gonna put the train back on the tracks here, and makes sure that there is a clear path forward for college football.”

Adam Breneman was a former college football player himself, playing for UMass as a tight end. He soon delved into politics and coaching, as well as founding his own media company, The College Sports Company. He has been calling for reforms in college football for a long time, all while also working as a color commentator for college football games.
NCAA and College Football Already Facing a Plethora of Problems
There are plenty of big problems in college football happening all around. Many have pointed out that there are issues rising out in the College Football Playoff format and player tampering in the transfer portal, as well as the pooled media rights revenue concept. There is also the fact that because of the college football settlement, schools now owe billions in back pay to former players.
Many see that college football should embrace the professional structure and the NFL model to help solve these problems, while others refuse to go fully professional. The NCAA has been struggling to deal with these problems, even though the sport has proven to be a popular moneymaker for the organization.
