VIDEO: Lane Kiffin and Son Knox Go Against Each Other in a Playful Baseball Matchup

Ole Miss Rebels head coach Lane Kiffin turned the football practice field at the
University of Mississippi into a temporary baseball diamond for his son Knox.

On Friday, Kiffin reshared an Instagram post where he can be seen pitching to Knox. Two pitches were captured in the clip. Knox swung and missed on the first pitch, but he hit the ball in the air on the second one as the video collapses.

Both father and sons were dressed in casual whites and cleats.

While there’s no report that claims that Knox is also into baseball, he has been spotted watching Ole Miss baseball games with his dad. Previously on June 2, Lane Kiffin shared a family photo, enjoying Ole Miss baseball game.

Kiffin is father to three children: Landry (20), Presley (18) and Knox (16). He was previously married to Layla Reaves but the duo divorced in 2016, but are said to have reconciled.

Layla and Knox relocated from California to Oxford, Mississippi, reuniting as a family in 2025. This made Lane happy, seeing his family get back together, as he posted on Instagram (May 9):

“LFG. The band is all back together. Pops is smiling.”

The only missing member from his family not in Mississippi will be Presley who has committed to play college volleyball at USC.

Lane Kiffin Developing a Football Prodigy in Knox Kiffin

Knox Kiffin is currently a Class of 2028 quarterback prospect. He stands 6′2″ tall and weighs 175–180 lb.

Knox played his freshman season at Palos Verdes High (CA), then transferred to Oxford High in Mississippi in June 2025.

He has already received multiple offers from college football programs, including SMU, FIU, Arkansas State, Western Kentucky, Murray State, Tulane, Sacramento State, and Georgia State. Interestingly, Ole Miss is yet to offer Knox but it may be only a matter of time for Kiffin to recruit his own son.

Maybe someday in future, Knox can be the arm that lead Kiffin to a national championship. Kiffin will hope by the time, he would have already led the Rebels to multiple conference and national championships.
