WATCH: Future Duke Star Cameron Boozer Puts on a Show in Early Practice Session

The Duke Blue Devils are getting a big influx of talent next season, with Cameron Boozer leading the team’s recruiting class. Boozer is the No. 3-ranked player in his class, according to 247Sports, and appears poised to have a big freshman season. He is coming to Duke after the team loses several top players to the 2025 NBA draft, including Cooper Flagg.

Fans were already excited about Boozer coming to the team in the fall, but after a clip was posted on Thursday afternoon, they likely have even more anticipation to see him in a Duke uniform. The Duke men’s basketball X account posted a clip of the future star showing off his skills in a practice session. In the video, he can be seen making deep shots, showing off his ball-handling skills and making strong drives to the basket.

    “’25-26 1st look,” Duke’s Men’s Basketball wrote.

Cameron Boozer is one of several players who have been signed by the Duke Blue Devils as part of this year’s recruiting class.

He is joined by two other five-star talents, including one who is international. Nikolas Khamenia is the No. 15-ranked player in the nation and will compete with Boozer for the starting power forward job next season.Dame Sarr is another five-star talent who is signed to Duke, but he is not included in the national rankings. That is because he is from Italy.

The Blue Devils have two other players signed for next season, both four-stars. The first is Cameron Boozer’s brother, Cayden. Cayden is the No. 23-ranked player in the nation and a point guard. Lastly, No. 47-ranked Sebastian Wilkins will join the Blue Devils next season and is another power forward.

Cameron Boozer and other Duke Recruits will try to replace the players lost to the NBA draft

There is a lot of hype around Cameron Boozer, and rightly so. However, there is no other team in college basketball that needs more help replacing top-level talent because their players declared for the NBA draft. Cooper Flagg is the most obvious loss that fans will be familiar with. However, they might not know that the Blue Devils have two other players who are projected to go in the Top 10.

Kon Knueppel and Khaman Maluach are also projected to be top picks in the draft. So, Boozer and the rest of his recruiting class will face immense pressure next season to pick up where that group left off.
