Former Boise State Broncos running back Ashton Jeanty had one of the best college football seasons of all time. He not only fit well as the Heisman runner-up but also proved his mettle with a first-team All-American appearance.
There’s no doubt that Jeanty’s last year as a college football athlete will go down in history, but one of the most interesting parts about the running back’s game is his stance. Unlike other running backs, Jeanty does not lean over in the backfield, but rather stands straight up, and now EA Sports is paying homage to that unique stance.
Ashton Jeanty’s Iconic Stance To Be Featured in EA Sports College Football 26
In a recent leak from the closed beta of EA Sports College Football 26, fans got a glimpse of the time of stances users could choose for their running backs in modes like Dynasty and Road to Glory.
One of those stances is titled “Straight Up,” which is an update from the last version of the game. However, it was added as a tribute to Jeanty and his unique style, which will not be forgotten for times to come in CFB.

This is just another small detail that was leaked during the game’s beta phase, which shows the incredible effort that the EA developers are pouring into this project. Other better details include a transformed version of the transfer portal, better graphics, an updated dynasty mode, and improved gameplay.
It only makes sense to offer homage to players like Jeanty, who was one of, if not the best, college football players in the country last season. As a running back for Boise State, the Florida native rushed for 2,601 yards and 29 touchdowns.
Players of the game last year often asked EA to include Jeanty’s stance in the ’25 edition of the game, and now their request appears to have been answered, which is a growing trend among the beta leaks.
In April, the superstar running back was drafted sixth overall by the Las Vegas Raiders, where he was asked to change his stance, which he had been taking since high school. Chip Kelly, his new offensive coordinator in Vegas, has asked him to adopt a new stance for the time being, as Kelly believes it puts Jeanty at a disadvantage at the point of attack.

Regardless of whether Jeanty will be able to use the stance in the NFL, at least it will live on as one of the most unique positions in EA Sports College Football 26.
