Hype has been building for EA Sports College Football 26 after a recent announcement trailer appeared ahead of the game’s release in July. College football YouTuber Bordeaux teased upcoming information ahead of the launch, as well as a potential brand-new feature.
EA Sports College Football 25 was one of 2024’s best-selling games in the United States. Now, EA Sports has officially unveiled EA Sports College Football 26 with a host of features, including dynamic time, new stadium atmospheres, and more.
Insider Dives Into the Newest Features Coming in EA Sports College Football 26
Appearing on the recent episode of “Crain & Company,” Bordeaux, who is famous for his YouTube videos with the video gamer series, recently got to test the newest installment in the series early. He revealed some inside information surrounding the upcoming wild new features.
“That’s the hard part, there’s so much that’s coming still that I can’t say anything about, that I can be excited about, they’re not holding a gun to my head technically or anything, but… I think it’s going to be the best College Football game ever made,” Bordeaux said, answering questions about what he could reveal from his recent game test.
What Bordeaux is referring to is the likely embargo that was placed on content creators’ abilities to release information. Typically, in press events like this, creators give early access and are limited to information they can share as the game’s release draws closer.
Among the features are the inclusion of all 136 FBS Schools, real athletes and coaches, a new Wear & Tear System, dynamic time, stadium atmospheres, updated music tracks (including Metallica), and others appearing in the upcoming weeks. Former NFL quarterback Kurt Benkert pointed out some of these as well.
College Football 26 will have Dynamic Lighting.
7 pm in September will have different shadows than 7 pm in November. The sun will change as the game goes on as well. It will also change geographically to match true to the region. pic.twitter.com/lFoVgRND6s

“The Transfer Portal is going to be 50x better, the problem was not enough players were entering the Portal, it’s not like real life,” Bordeaux said. He also talked about a brand-new feature that might have been just brought up for the first time.
“I might be doing a little more than I should,” Bordeaux said. “There’s Dynamic Dealbreakers this year, so depending on how your school performs, those dealbreakers will change. If you raise the standard, those guys are gonna start expecting 10-win seasons. This year, the Portal is going to have a lot more players.
“You can even find stuff about Road to Glory that shouldn’t be out there yet,” he said. “Just over the coming weeks, as they release each deep dive and trailer, that’s where you’re going to get more information.
“It’s gonna be a good game, I’m excited,” Bordeaux said. “If I wasn’t hyped about it, it would show.” The game’s launch will take place in July.
Many are hyped ahead of next month’s release, as many insiders, including Bordeaux and Benkert, claim it is going to be the “best College Football video game of all time.” However, some fans are still erring on the side of caution and tempering their expectations.

They took community feedback. Implemented the changes. Went further in depth. Made navigating the game more efficient. & Amplified the authentic feel of the schools.

The outcome will be clear on July 10, which is the current official release date for EA Sports College Football 26. Gamers who pre-ordered the game will get access three days earlier.
While many are skeptical of whether this year’s version will be a “re-skin” of last year’s game, the comments from prominent creators in the game’s community are encouraging.
