‘I Love Everything about This Situation’ — CFB Analyst Delivers Bold 2025 Prediction for Miami QB Carson Beck

Carson Beck is hitting the reset button. Once projected as a frontrunner for the No. 1 overall NFL Draft pick, the former Georgia Bulldogs QB saw his stock fall after a rocky 2024 season and off-field drama.

Now, he’s found a fresh start with the Miami Hurricanes, armed with a new playbook, a new locker room, and a clean slate. CFB Analyst JD PicKell believes Beck can bounce back in a big way. So, will this be the comeback season that rewrites his story?

CFB Analyst High on Beck’s 2025 Season

Beck began the 2024 season with high expectations. Georgia was thriving, and Beck was projected as a top NFL Draft pick. But things unraveled quickly. His offense sputtered, he threw 12 interceptions (twice as many as in 2023), and a season-ending elbow injury against the Texas Longhorns halted everything.

Beck’s stats were solid: 3,485 passing yards and 28 touchdowns, but they didn’t tell the whole story. Behind those numbers were costly decision-making errors and a lack of support from receivers who led the nation in drops.

Now, in Miami, Beck is focused on redemption. He’s working under offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson, credited with Cam Ward’s rise to No. 1 pick consideration. Analyst PicKell believes this could be the ideal situation for Beck to bounce back.

“They are going to let him strut his stuff. They’re going to let him push the ball downfield. Are you able to flush what last year was at Georgia and able to then embrace this new system? And make up for missing spring practice to keep it a buck. I love everything about this situation for him.”

His transfer to Miami offers more than just a better offensive fit. It’s a chance to tune out distractions and focus on football. That’s crucial, especially after a public breakup with social media influencer Hanna Cavinder made headlines earlier this year.

During a UFC appearance, Cavinder remarked, “No! Nobody likes him! And he wouldn’t talk to people… I didn’t break up with him because of cheating. I broke up with him because of who he was.”

This thrust Beck into the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. But ironically, the breakup may help sharpen his focus.

“I love that for Carson Beck,” PicKell said. “I love the no girlfriend part of it for my guy… single Carson Beck I believe was the guy who was All-SEC a year ago.”

Despite the struggles, Beck’s college career remains impressive, with 7,912 passing yards, 58 touchdowns, and just 20 interceptions. With improved protection, a system built to his strengths, and fewer distractions off the field, he has a real shot at reclaiming his draft stock.

All eyes will be on Miami’s season opener against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Aug.  31. It’s a high-stakes debut for a QB intent on rewriting his narrative. Will this be the start of Beck’s long-awaited comeback?
