With the 2026 and 2027 recruiting cycles in full swing, the LSU women’s basketball team has set its sights on one of the nation’s top five-star forwards, Lola Lampley. The 6’2″ Indianapolis native, ranked No. 17 overall and No. 6 among power forwards, is reportedly scheduled for an official visit to LSU from October 9–12, according to On3 Sports.
As LSU HC Kim Mulkey looks to strengthen the Tigers’ future frontcourt further, Lampley’s visit may secure LSU’s run in the upcoming seasons.

Lola Lampley, a native of Indianapolis, Indiana, is a top-10 power forward in the 2026 class. She emerged as a priority for LSU after an impressive offseason on the travel ball circuit.
Her versatility as a scorer within 15 feet and her defensive skills have made many experts compare her with some of the nation’s best athletes.

Lampley’s ability to serve in multiple roles as a scorer and a defensive player makes her a solid addition for almost every team. Lampley is a member of the USA Basketball U17 team, so over the past year, she has earned a lot of attention thanks to her size and the ability to stretch the floor and create off the dribble.
Initially, Lampley had five schools on her list: Florida State, UCLA, Duke, Mississippi State, and NC State. However, LSU’s scholarship offer in May, coupled with Mulkey’s relentless recruiting, made her add the Tigers as a potential landing spot.
“They check in very often, so I can tell that they’re going to go pretty hard for me,” Lampley told On3’s Talia Goodman. “I’m just going to see how their relationship goes.”
Her upcoming visit to Baton Rouge could be a massive move for her career and for the program. Mulkey’s offseason strategy has centered on strengthening the Tigers’ frontcourt for the future, and Lampley can be a key piece for it.
Beyond Lampley, LSU has extended offers to other elite prospects, including 2027 five-star Jayla Forbes, a 6’7″ center from Montverde Academy ranked No. 13 overall in her class. Forbes has also drawn interest from SEC rivals like Ole Miss, Auburn, and Mississippi State, but LSU’s offer could appeal to her.
Similarly, Caroline Bradley, the No. 5 overall prospect in the 2027 cycle and Louisiana’s top talent, is also a priority for the program. Bradley’s impressive sophomore season, which included 20.6 points, 14.5 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks per game en route to a state title game, has made her a focus of LSU’s recruiting vision.
