The South Carolina Gamecocks lost All-SEC running back Rocket Sanders to the NFL this offseason.
Despite the loss, South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer has a plan for who will replace the former 1,000-yard rusher.

Shane Beamer Believes Rahsul Faison Is the Right Man To Replace Rocket Sanders
While chatting with former Alabama quarterback and current ESPN analyst Greg McElroy on ESPN’s Always College Football, Beamer talked about which of his current running backs is the best-suited to replace Sanders.
“We were certainly looking for a guy to replace Rocket,” Beamer said. “Somebody that had that home run ability, that can take an eight-yard gain or a run that’s blocked for five yards and can turn it into an explosive run. That’s what we saw when we watched (Faison).
“I think he’s got great vision. He’s got great balance. He can make people miss, but he can also run you over.”
Beamer speaking glowingly about transfer running back Rahsul Faison is proof that the Gamecocks have something cooking on the ground in Columbia.
The former Utah State star comes over to South Carolina this offseason after rushing for 1,109 yards and eight touchdowns.
If he puts up those kinds of numbers for Beamer and Co., the Gamecocks could be one of the most dynamic offensive teams in the country.
The Dynamic Duo of LaNorris Sellers and Rahsul Faison
While Faison might be the hotshot transfer, his new quarterback, with whom he will be playing, already has experience playing for South Carolina.
Starting quarterback LaNorris Sellers was the SEC Freshman of the Year last season after having an outstanding first year of college football.
He led the Gamecocks to an 8-3 record in the 11 games that he played in as he completed nearly 65% of his passes for 2,274 yards and 17 touchdowns.
He also rushed for 655 yards and seven touchdowns, which is why the duo of he and Faison could prove to be quite dangerous this season.

Opposing defenses will now have to worry about both players, especially if the offense decides to run the option at any given point.
After winning nearly 10 games a season ago, this team is looking to take the next step in the SEC.
That means contending for an SEC title and possibly fighting for a chance to make it to the College Football Playoff.
Remember, this team hasn’t been in that kind of position since Steve Spurrier was the head coach over a decade ago.
