Stokes went on to drop 30 points. He also made 18 rebounds, five assists, and had four steals in the Soldiers’ 78-68 win. Oh, and he did it with NBA player Bol Bol watching from the sidelines. But it is not just about the stats.
What sets Stokes Apart is his control. Additionally, his ability to make the right pass, draw defenders, and play with poise simply cannot be ignored. However, this performance at Nike EYBL was not just about flexing on Babatunde Oladotun, who also has many offers.
This was about reminding college coaches, scouts, and NBA eyes that Stokes isn’t coasting off hype. Stokes, after all, has offers from many big names and a few official visits lined up too. Kansas made a strong move early and hosted Stokes for an official visit in April.
With Darryn Peterson, the top 2025 recruit, already in their sights, Bill Self and company are gunning for the future. And Stokes is at the top of their wishlist. But they, of course, are not alone. Stokes just wrapped up a visit to Kentucky between May 15 and 17.
The Wildcats have long been in the mix, with Coach Jason Hart visiting him on multiple occasions. Louisville hosted him last October, and bluebloods like North Carolina, Michigan, UCLA, and Alabama have already extended offers. Even programs like Texas A&M, Gonzaga, and Oregon are trying to land him.

What’s next? Well, it is likely more visits, film, and dunks. The recruiting war for Stokes has already begun. And while Stokes is in no rush, he’s keeping his options open and his competition guessing.
Now, with the EYBL takeover, everyone’s watching a little closer. Stokes will also be training with NBA trainer Chris Johnson and could suit up for the USA Basketball U19 team at the FIBA World Cup. Watch out for the name Stokes, as this story has just started.
