The basketball community has lost its mind with the arrival of Beckham Black, the younger sibling of Orlando Magic’s Anthony Black. At only 16 years old, this Class of 2027 point guard is stealing the headlines in the Nike EYBL Session II. Well, it’s safe to say he has skills far older than his years.
With a mix of top-class vision, scoring ability, and defensive ferocity, Beckham is fast becoming a show to watch. Apart from making the headlines with his game, he is also gaining endorsement from his NBA-playing brother, ensuring the family basketball heritage.

Anthony Black’s Younger Brother Beckham Black Rising at EYBL Session II
Beckham Black has been a standout performer for AB Elite’s 16U team during the Nike EYBL Session II in Memphis, Tennessee. In their first match against The Family 16U EYBL, Beckham put up an incredible stat line of 20 points, two rebounds, nine assists, and three steals as his team won 84-78. His skill at dictating the pace of the game and making clutch shots under pressure was clearly on display throughout the game.

The second game was against Team Thad, a close 82-79 defeat. Although they lost, Beckham’s play was consistent with 14 points, six rebounds, nine assists, and two steals. Beckham’s consistent play and ability to play well all game long and be in control have been a staple of AB Elite all tournament.
Adding to the thrill, Beckham’s big brother, Orlando Magic guard Anthony Black, was in attendance to cheer him through the games. Anthony has been a confidence booster for Beckham as well as a reminder of the strong relationship between the two brothers.
Seeing little brother improve and mature before his very eyes, Anthony has been an inspiration and confirmation of Beckham’s success early on.
Black’s High School Success at Duncanville
Prior to leaving his imprint at the EYBL, Beckham was a significant contributor in helping Duncanville High School win a 6A Division 1 conference championship in Texas. His contributions were instrumental in a string of wins.
This included a dominating 79-30 thrashing of Rockwall in the Regional Final and a nail-biter 54-52 win over Bellaire in the title game of the state championship. Beckham’s pressure-playing skill and ability to lead his team to success are a testament to his maturity and court experience.
