EA Sports CFB 26 Cover Player for Every Big 12 Program

    Arizona Wildcats- Noah Fifita, QB

Noah Fafita is one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in the country and is coming off a strong sophomore campaign. Expect him to continue to improve in 2025 and be Arizona’s best offensive player.

Arizona State Sun Devils- Sam Leavitt, QB

With Cam Skattebo in the NFL, the Arizona State offense will run entirely through Sam Leavitt. He balled out last year, and should make another jump next season.

    BYU Cougars- Jake Retzlaff, QB

No one expected Jake Retzlaff to have the year he did last season for BYU. But after proving to the world that he can lead a power-four offense, he has a chance to prove himself as a top quarterback in the conference next season.

    Baylor Bears- Bryson Washington, RB

Bryson Washington was elite for Baylor last season, running for over 1,000 yards and 12 touchdowns on six yards per carry. I imagine the Bears will continue to lean on Washington to produce even more in 2025.

    Cincinnati Bearcats- Brenden Sorsby, QB

Cincinnati did not have a lot of options to choose from, but Breden Sorsby is probably their best returning player. He threw for just over 2,800 yards last season and had 18 touchdowns.

    Colorado Buffaloes- Kaidon Salter, QB

Kaidon Salter balled out at Liberty for the last two seasons and now has made the jump to Colorado via the transfer portal. Salter is an electric dual-threat quarterback who should keep the Buffaloes’ offense good despite losing Shedeur Sanders.

    Houston Cougars- Tanner Koziol, TE

The Cougars have fewer players to choose from than Cincinnati does, but they did just land four-star Ball State and Wisconsin transfer, Tanner Koziol. Koziol had 839 receiving yards on 94 catches for Ball State last season and should be the best tight end in the conference.

Iowa State Cyclones- Rocco Becht, QB

Rocco Becht has been very good for Iowa State in his two years as the Cyclones’ starting quarterback. Last season, he threw for over 3,500 yards and 25 touchdowns. With Jaylin Noel and Jayden Higgins out the door for Iowa State, Becht is the only choice.

    Kansas Jayhawks- Jalon Daniels, QB

Jalon Daniels announced that he is returning to Kansas for one final season, and with Devin Neal gone, he’s easily the best player on the entire roster.

Kansas State Wildcats- Avery Johnson, QB

Avery Johnson put the world on notice last season, totaling over 3,300 yards and 32 touchdowns for the Wildcats. He should be even better in 2025 heading into his second year as the Kansas State starter.

Oklahoma State Cowboys- Kyran Duhon, DE

Oklahoma State had a rough 2024, but they brought in a ton of transfers to revamp this roster, including Kyran Duhon. Duhon had seven sacks last season for UTEP as a true freshman and should bring some much-needed pass rush to Oklahoma State as he continues to develop into 2025.

TCU Horn Frogs- Josh Hoover, QB

Josh Hoover is yet another Big 12 quarterback who was very good last season. He threw just shy of 4,000 yards and had 27 touchdowns. He returns to TCU for his redshirt junior season and should be just as good in 2025.

Texas Tech Red Raiders- Behren Morton, QB

Behren Morton had a great 2024 season, throwing for 3,300 yards and 27 touchdowns. With a mostly new receiving core, those numbers may drop, but he should still be Texas Tech’s best offensive player next season.

UCF Golden Knights- Jaden Nixon, RB

UCF brought in Western Michigan transfer Jaden Nixon to replace RJ Harvey and become their starting running back. Nixon ran for 912 yards and 12 touchdowns last season and should be the biggest impact player in UCF’s offense.

    Utah Utes- Wayshawn Parker, RB

Parker committed to the Utes as a transfer this offseason from Washington State. He ran for over 700 yards last year, averaging 5.4 yards per carry. Expect him to be a major bright spot on a bad Utah team.

West Virginia Mountaineers- Jaheim White, RB

Jaheim White has consistently been West Virginia’s best offensive player since he got to campus. He should have another great year in 2025 and is the easy choice for the Mountaineers.
