Andrews, a rising senior from Little Rock Christian Academy (Little Rock, AR), also received offers from Oklahoma, Marquette, Illinois, Ole Miss, Texas Tech, and USC, among others.
The Arkansas Gatorade Player of the Year, 2024 EYBL Peach Jam Champ (with Brad Beal Elite), two-time state champion, and Max Preps All-American is the No. 32 overall recruit in the 2026 cycle, according to On3 Industry Rankings. Andrews is the country’s No. 7 shooting guard prospect and top player out of Arkansas. On3’s Industry Ranking weighs all four major recruiting media companies for an aggregate ranking.
At USA Basketball this spring, On3’s Jamie Shaw called Andrews a standout.

“JJ Andrews has a physical presence and knows how to use that for production,” Shaw said. “While he might not be the most explosive athlete or the best shooter in the gym, he is comfortable on the ball and has a nose for an extra possession. He is one of the ones where you look at his stat line at the end of the game and fully understand how much he affects play.”
Andrews, the most efficient scorer in Session One of the EYBL Circuit, according to Synergy, averaged 19.7 points per game on nearly 72% shooting.
