Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, a Texas native and three-time Super Bowl champion, continues to show his deep connection to his home state. Over the weekend, Mahomes surprised several high school football teams with a special gift, reinforcing his role as a mentor and advocate for Texas youth athletics.
This gesture follows previous acts of generosity, including sending Adidas gear—sneakers and cleats—to the Whitehouse High School football team and making motivational visits. His nonprofit, 15 and the Mahomies, remains instrumental in uplifting student-athletes through ongoing support of youth sports and local community efforts.

Mahomes, a native of Tyler, made his mark at Whitehouse High School, where he threw for over 8,000 yards and tallied 90 touchdowns. His leadership guided the Wildcats to an undefeated regular season his senior year, achievements that earned him a permanent place among Texas high school football’s greats.
“Football is a tool for me to showcase who I am, but it’s not who I am. And that comes from high school football and building those friendships,” Mahomes said during his Hall of Fame induction speech, reflecting on the foundational role the sport played in his life.
