Top OL Prospect Breck Kolojay Sees Special Future With Julian Lewis with His Colorado Visit

Colorado quarterback Julian Lewis is ready to possibly take the reins as the starter in Boulder with Shedeur Sanders heading to the NFL.

No one seems to believe in Lewis more than 2026 four-star offensive lineman Breck Kolojay, who has already committed to play for Colorado.

Top OL Prospect Breck Kolojay Says Julian Lewis Bond Is Already Built

After meeting with him during his college visit, Kolojay recently joined DNVR Sports to chat about his relationship with Lewis. “I’ve known Ju-Ju for a couple years now…That relationship from offensive line to quarterback is huge and that’s already been build.”

If you are a Colorado fan, there are many reasons why this should excite you. Players want to not only come to Colorado to play for head coach Deion Sanders, but they also want to come to play with a great quarterback. While it is yet to be determined how good Lewis can be at the college level, it is clear that he already has the trust of plenty of players.

Julian Lewis is the Straw That Stirs the Drink

Simply put, this Buffaloes team will have a new look to it this upcoming season. With Shedeur Sanders leaving Colorado for the Cleveland Browns and Heisman winner Travis Hunter heading to the Jacksonville Jaguars, the offense will look somewhat different.

If Lewis is eventually named the starter, he must lead this team. The former Gatorade Georgia Player of the Year has the talent and ability to put it all together as a college player. In high school, he threw for over 3,000 yards and tossed 48 touchdowns in his sophomore season.

That same season, he threw just two interceptions. If he put up even a fraction of those numbers this season as a college freshman, the Buffaloes might have a chance to win the Big 12. But, he will have to get comfortable in a new offense as a 17-year-old kid with Deion Sanders as his head coach.

All eyes will be on the 6’1″, 185-pound signal-caller as he looks to make Colorado a real threat in the conference and the race for the College Football Playoff.
