Isiah Pacheco returned to Rutgers, where it all began, on Tuesday, at the student-athlete graduation ceremony. The Kansas City Chiefs selected the running back in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft and has since been to three Super Bowls, winning two.
Pacheco walked across the stage to receive his diploma from interim athletic director Ryan Pisarri, showing off the two championship rings he has won with the Kansas City Chiefs since leaving Rutgers to go professional. Isiah Pacheco’s College Stats: From Rutgers to the NFL
Pacheco graduated from Rutgers this month. When he played for the Scarlet Knights, he was a Criminal Justice major. Now, he has made over a million in salary since entering the NFL, but that didn’t stop him from completing his degree.
It was an important night for Pacheco, who shared photos and videos on Instagram, and the Rutgers football team posted photos on its X account.

Pacheco committed to Rutgers in 2017 after being heavily recruited by Maryland, Syracuse, Virginia Tech, and other football programs along the East Coast.
In 2018, he rushed for 551 yards in 11 games, scoring three touchdowns. That number grew in his sophomore year as he rushed for 729 yards in 11 games, scoring seven touchdowns.
Over four seasons with Rutgers, Pacheco rushed 563 times for 2,442 yards (4.3 ypc) and scored 18 touchdowns. He also caught 47 passes for 249 yards and one score.
He was selected in the seventh round by the Kansas City Chiefs with the 251st pick. He became the full-time starter toward the end of his rookie year and into his sophomore season.

Pacheco has reached the Super Bowl in his first three years with two victories.
As a rookie, Pacheco rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown against the Philadelphia Eagles in his first Super Bowl.In his three-year career in the NFL, Pacheco has totaled 2,075 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns. He has added 69 catches for 453 yards.
In 2024, Pacheco made history by becoming the only running back in NFL history to win two Super Bowls in his first two seasons.
