Not all basketball players develop the same, but when they have pure, raw athleticism, you question why you ever doubted them.
Rasheer Fleming, a forward from Saint Joseph’s, has been generating a lot of attention lately. Many initially wrote him off, but now, he’s emerging as the player every team seemingly wants to have.

Rasheer Fleming’s NBA Draft Stock Surging Ahead of Team Workouts
Rasheer Fleming’s career started slowly but steadily, and he is reaching his full potential. In the 2022–23 season, he played 31 games, starting only 18 and averaging 5.8 points.
He significantly improved on those figures in the 2023–24 season, and that started with him hitting the ground running early. He played 35 games, starting every game, and averaged 10.7 points and 7.4 rebounds.
His promising display surprised everyone, and from then on, he hasn’t looked back.
In the 2024–25 season, he played 35 games, starting 34. He averaged 14.7 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game. His shooting efficiency was impressive, with 53.1% from the field, 39.0% from three-point range, and 74.3% from the free-throw line. In fact, Fleming is the only Division I player last season to record 20 dunks and 20 threes.
At 6’9″ and 240 pounds, Fleming has grown into the forward player every team wants. His 7’5″ wingspan makes him a gem for NBA scouts.
Due to his weight, he cannot be easily shoved, which makes it easier for him to disrupt passing lines and protect the rim. However, his shooting has been the most impressive aspect of his game. Fleming is also the ideal roll man in a pick-and-roll situation. His passing is remarkable, and it is no wonder his assist record has continued to improve.
