Hattiesburg (MS) five-star WR Tristen Keys announced his commitment to LSU football earlier this year. He decided to join LSU over the likes of Ole Miss, Alabama, Mississippi State, Tennessee, and Miami. Last season, the WR produced 1,275 receiving yards with 14 TDs and 58 receptions, leading Hattiesburg to the MHSAA Class 6A title game.
Experts believe that Keys’s recruitment will be a crown jewel of the 2026 class, but that is only if he sticks with it and signs on the dotted line. Looking at what happened back in November last year, such concern is justified. However, a recent video from X suggests that the commitment from the WR remains as strong as Day 1.

Tristen Keys Brings Tiger Pride and Top WR Ranking to LSU
The expectations surrounding the LSU program have evolved as coach Kelly enters his fourth season. For the LSU loyals, the excitement of adding talent only adds to the anticipation of returning to the top of college football. The commitment from the No. 1 WR adds fuel to the fire of expectations.
Before Keys’ commitment, the Tigers had already secured commitments from Kenny Darby and Jakai Anderson. After QB Bryce Underwood‘s flip from the Tigers’ last cycle, clouds of uncertainty regarding Tristen’s commitment remain over the Tigers.
However, a recent video shared by @garlandgillen on X suggests that the WR’s commitment to LSU remains strong.

“Once a tiger, always a tiger. I have been a tiger all my life. In the next level, looks like I’m gonna be a tiger, so I’m happy to… have this opportunity and am blessed to go to the next level and a big program at LSU, so I am ready for it,” said Keys.
