Otega Oweh and Koby Brea from the Kentucky Wildcats are among the 75 invitees to the upcoming NBA Draft Combine.
The two are key players for their head coach, Mark Pope, leading the ‘Cats to the second weekend of this year’s NCAA Tournament, the team’s first time since 2019. However, can they boost their draft stock at the combine slated later this month?

Can Kentucky Wildcats Stars Otega Oweh and Koby Brea Boost Their Draft Stock at the NBA Combine?
It is no shock that Otega Oweh has been invited to the NBA Draft Combine, even though he still has one year of college eligibility remaining.
Although none of the high-profile NBA Draft Mock Drafts have mentioned his name in the list, if the player returns for a final year of college, he will be among the SEC’s top choices for Preseason Player of the Year, as per On3.
He has improved his figures to 16.2 points per game after registering an average of 11.4 points per night with the Sooners.
Oweh also recorded one of the longest double-digit point streaks in college basketball. He has also helped the Wildcats with stunning performances on many occasions, one of which was when he registered a game-winning shot that helped his team secure a part of the game-clinching block at the other end.
Known as one of the best defenders in the Wildcats’ squad, barring a top pick, his return to college and spending the remaining year there would only boost his profile.
Koby Brea has also seen his name listed in Mock Drafts and Big Boards several times.
Per NBA Draft analyst at ESPN, Jonathan Givony, who recently went to watch one of the practice sessions of the guard, Brea is “putting in real work” to impress the scouts at the Combine. The analyst expressed how impressed he was by Brea and his “prettier shooting stroke in this class at 6-foot-7,” which he believes is “hard to find.”

Brea, the former Dayton Flyers player, helped his former team to a first-round victory over Nevada in the 2024 NCAA Tournament. He is known as one of the best three-point shooters in the country.
The player is expected to show well at the combine to increase his chances of getting picked.
