Warren Brinson Shares Reaction to Kenny Clark’s Message After Packers Draft Pick

The sixth-round pick chatted with the Green Bay media on Friday about being drafted by the Packers and what it was like receiving a text from Pro Bowl defensive tackle Kenny Clark.

Sometimes, players get the opportunity to be drafted to a historic and winning organization. Other times, they get drafted to a team that has a franchise legend that the rookie will have the opportunity to learn from.

In this instance, Brinson will have the opportunity to do both as the Packers won 11 games a season ago, are arguably the best team in the history of the league, and three-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Kenny Clark will be the veteran who he can learn from.

Brinson Looking to Make an Impact

Despite being a late-round pick, Brinson might be able to carve out a role on Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley’s line behind the likes of Clark and former Georgia Bulldog Devonte Wyatt.

Brinson, a two-time national champion, didn’t have the craziest stats while playing for head coach Kirby Smart in Athens. However, he did record 26 total tackles, six tackles for loss, and two sacks as a role player in his senior season in 2024. Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing in at just over 300 pounds, he has the makings of a talented interior player.

Also, if you are the Green Bay Packers, you can’t do much better than taking a late-round flyer on a productive player with a championship mentality. After finishing sixth in total defense a season ago, the Packers are continuing to make bolstering the defense a top priority.

If Brinson can play like he did at Georgia, there is a chance that the Green Bay Packers could have one of the premier defensive lines, especially from a depth perspective, in the league.
