The team earned key wins, including a 76-72 win over rival Texas and an 81-75 upset against Georgia in the SEC Tournament.

The Sooners made the NCAA Tournament as a No. 9 seed in the West Region but lost in the first round to No. 8 seed Connecticut, 67-59. The season showed the team’s toughness as they adjusted to a new league and worked in eight new players alongside returners like Jalon Moore.

Oklahoma has added several experienced players through the transfer portal as it looks ahead to the 2025-26 season. The Sooners currently have the No. 9 transfer class in the country, according to 247Sports, with all four incoming players rated as 4-star transfers. Three of them have signed so far.

Forward Tae Davis was the first to commit. He played at Seton Hall and Notre Dame, averaging 15.1 points last season. Guard Nijel Pack, who has played five college seasons at Kansas State and Miami, joined a week later after leading Miami with 13.9 points per game in 2024-25.

Most recently, Oklahoma signed St. Joseph’s transfer Xzayvier Brown, who averaged 17.6 points and scored in double figures in all 32 games last season. He also earned first-team All-Atlantic 10 honors.

Another possible addition is Derrion Reid, who has not signed yet but would be a major pickup for the Sooners.
