Jared Verse Pays Tribute to Jordan Travis After Former FSU QB Announces Retirement

Los Angeles Rams star defensive end and former teammate of Travis’s at Florida State, Jared Verse, recently posted a very thoughtful tribute to Travis on social media.

This appears to be one of those relationships that goes beyond the sport of football.

These words from Verse prove that Travis made a great impact on his teammates during his playing days, and that hasn’t been forgotten in the slightest.

A lot of young players in Travis’s shoes would have just given up right at the beginning because of all the pain and frustration that comes with a major lower-body injury.

But Travis fought and fought until the answer was eventually revealed to him. It is very reminiscent of his time at Florida State.

The 24-year-old was a gamer with the Seminoles, as he always made his teammates believe. The 2023 ACC Player of the Year guided the program to a total of 21 wins over his final two seasons, and that includes the 11 consecutive wins in 2023 before his injury. He threw for nearly 6,000 yards and combined for 44 passing touchdowns, along with just seven interceptions, across 2022 and 2023.

The Louisville transfer also had 31 career rushing touchdowns at the college level, which should not go unnoticed. He was a true competitor and was willing to do whatever it took to win games.
