Shedeur Sanders’ Draft Moment Was Emotional and Unfiltered

Browns GM Andrew Berry’s message to Sanders over the phone was simple, yet empowering.

    Here is what he said:

This is the type of message that all young players need and deserve to hear after things don’t go their way.

After a solid college career, Sanders was humbled during this draft after being rated as one of the top quarterback prospects.

Now, despite falling down the board, the Browns gave him an opportunity to play NFL Football.

It is time for him to show his new team what he’s got.

Shedeur Sanders Joins Browns’ Quarterback Room

The most fascinating position group on any team in the NFL could very well be the quarterback position for the Cleveland Browns.

They drafted Sanders in this draft, as well as Oregon quarterback Dillon Gabriel earlier.

Additionally, they traded for veteran quarterback Kenny Pickett and signed back former Super Bowl champion Joe Flacco, who was a free agent this offseason.

Look for Flacco, who took the Browns to the playoffs a couple of seasons ago, to have the inside track to start early on with Pickett as his backup.

Then, Gabriel and Sanders will likely be the developmental quarterbacks at the bottom of the depth chart.

Of course, former Pro Bowl quarterback Deshaun Watson is still under contract with the team, but his time in Cleveland could be ending soon after a disappointing, injury-riddled stretch of seasons.

All eyes will be on Sanders as he proves he can make it work in the NFL as a player who is more than just his last name.
