Let’s be honest – big guys don’t usually steal the spotlight in the NFL Draft. But Purdue’s Marcus Mbow isn’t your typical offensive lineman. He’s got scouts buzzing and GMs salivating ahead of the 2025 draft with his rare blend of technical skills and versatility.

NFL Draft Landing Spots for Marcus Mbow
Standing 6-foot-4 and weighing in at 303 pounds, Mbow was the rock of Purdue’s offensive line with 32 starts under his belt. While he made his name at right tackle, he’s shown he can slide inside to guard without breaking a sweat – gold dust in today’s NFL. What makes scouts’ eyes light up? His hands.
The guy’s hand technique is something you’d teach in a master class, and when he gets moving in zone schemes, he moves like someone built in a lab.
Sure, he only gave up one sack in 367 pass-blocking snaps last year, but that jump from 11 to 25 pressures has raised a few eyebrows. Still, the folks at Pro Football Focus couldn’t help but rank him 23rd among tackles for run blocking, even with his somewhat narrow frame.
Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks’ O-line has been a revolving door lately, and ESPN’s Jordan Reid thinks Mbow would be a perfect fit in Klink Kubiak’s zone-blocking system. After a frustrating 10-7 season watching the playoffs from their couches, Seattle knows they need to shore up the trenches.
Indianapolis Colts
With Ryan Kelly and Will Fries packing their bags in free agency, the Indianapolis Colts are suddenly thin up front. Mbow could either provide insurance behind Braden Smith or kick inside – exactly the kind of chess piece Chris Ballard loves for his line rebuild.
New York Giants
The Giants’ offensive line woes are practically a running joke at this point. Even with limited Day 2 picks, they can’t afford to pass on a guy who could potentially fill multiple weak spots with one draft card.
Washington Commanders
Washington’s scheme practically screams for a mobile technician like Mbow. Their mid-second-round pick puts them in the sweet spot to grab him before he’s gone.

Houston has invested too much in their quarterback to leave him running for his life. Mbow brings Day 1 competition and long-term upside with his polished technique and football smarts.
