Cam Ward Connects with Former Franchise QB Warren Moon

Ward was scheduled to address the media during his arrival in Tennessee on Friday. As he appeared in front of the media, Pro Football Hall of Famer and franchise legend Warren Moon showed up to award him the No. 1 jersey, which was originally retired due to Moon’s legendary play.

The Titans’ social media team later posted the words, “Passing the Torch.”

For Titans fans, the past was connected to the present and future here.

Ward will be tasked with guiding this franchise into the future, and Moon showing up to support him should inspire him to play elite football in the Music City.

    Cam Ward’s Time in Tennessee

While the Titans have been scheduled to find an identity since the height of Mike Vrabel’s days, they might be able to find one with Ward under center.

At the end of his college career, the reigning ACC Player of the Year proved that he was made of greatness at Miami. He guided the Hurricanes to 10 wins and put up insane numbers.

The Washington State and Incarnate Word transfer completed over 67% of his passes for 4,313 yards, 39 touchdowns, and just seven interceptions. He also rushed for over 200 yards and four touchdowns on the ground.

The All-American player threw 10 interceptions or more in a season just once during his college career.

So, he is very talented, productive, and knows how to handle the football, which is not always the case with certain great college quarterbacks.

Ward will have a chance to work with former Pro Bowl running back Tony Pollard, former All-Pro wide receiver Calvin Ridley, and other weapons in Brian Callahan’s offense in 2025.

While Titans fans should be excited about the team’s future with Ward in charge of the offense, they should temper their expectations as the team moves through year one with Ward.
