Jared Wilson NFL Draft Projections: 5 Landing Spots for the Georgia Center

Georgia Bulldogs center Jared Wilson remains on the board heading into Day 2 of the 2025 NFL Draft. He’s regarded by many as the top center in the entire draft class after dominating with the Bulldogs.

Wilson shows top-end athleticism at 6’3″, 310 pounds, and excels in pass protection. His services could be sought out by a multitude of teams selecting in the second and third rounds, as he has the potential to be a Pro Bowler on the interior.

5 Landing Spots for Jared Wilson

These five teams are the most likely to take a shot on the former Bulldogs center, beginning with a team with uncertainty at the center position.

    Seattle Seahawks

It’s been a while since Seattle fielded an above-average offensive line — but after selecting all-around talent Grey Zabel in the first round and potentially Wilson on Day 2, they’d have a long-term chance of reaching that mark.

Zabel is also expected to play on the interior after playing tackle in college, making it an exciting pairing in the middle for Seattle as they vie to protect newly signed QB Sam Darnold.

    Miami Dolphins

Miami needs to shore up the interior of the O-line and Wilson could help right away in providing depth at all three of those positions. Center Aaron Brewer is currently the starter for the Dolphins after performing well in 2024.

His contract expires after the 2026 season, in which Wilson could presumably slot right in there in replacement after developing for a couple of seasons.

    New England Patriots

The goal of the offseason for New England has been to add protectors in order to accentuate QB Drake Maye’s skills. Although the Patriots signed veteran Garrett Bradbury to fill the center position, a continued refinement along the interior of the O-line is needed.

After selecting LSU’s Will Campbell with the fourth overall pick to protect Maye’s blindside for the future, New England couldn’t hurt with adding another young piece on the interior.

    Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders have a young center in second-year man Jackson Powers-Johnson, who filled in admirably last season due to injuries. But he possesses the ability to kick out to guard as well, which is presumably what would happen if the Raiders were to pull the trigger on Wilson.

The Raiders signed veteran guard Alex Cappa to a two-year deal this offseason — which would be the perfect amount of time for Wilson to develop and provide depth in case of injury before moving into the starting lineup for the long term.

    Carolina Panthers

If Carolina is serious about going all in on starting QB Bryce Young, they need to continue to invest in young talent along the offensive line. Taking Wilson would be a good start, who could immediately push C Austin Corbett for playing time.

It’s not hard to see the vision of Wilson and Young playing together for the rest of their careers, something franchises dream about in terms of continuity.
