Jaylin Noel is one of the top prospects still available in this year’s NFL Draft, as the second round is just hours away from beginning.
But Noel wouldn’t be where he is today without the help of his mother, Deirdre Cash.

Deirdre Cash Raised a Record-Breaking Cyclone Who’s Now Headed to the NFL
Cash, a former patient care secretary, has always been there to support Noel in his efforts as a football player.
Even after the passing of her eldest son, L.J. Noel, she, along with Noel’s stepfather, Aurice Bass, has not wavered as the mother of a football player.
Now, she gets to watch her youngest son, a star from Iowa State, as he becomes a part of the NFL.
The All-Big 12 pass-catcher finished his Cyclones career with a near-1,200-yard season as he helped Iowa State win 11 games in 2024, which is now a program record.
The question now is which team will take a chance on the former Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Year?
Potential Landing Spots for Jaylin Noel
As it pertains to who could draft Noel on the second day of the draft, one team that comes to mind is the Kansas City Chiefs.
After losing in the Super Bowl this past season, the Chiefs lost veteran wide receiver Mecole Hardman to free agency, which means they have also lost an element on special teams.
Noel has 4.3 speed and made a real difference on special teams for the Cyclones during his days in Ames.
Again, he is also a 1,000-yard wide receiver with a knack for playing above his size. He could fit in real well with Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid.
Another team that could use his services is the New England Patriots.
Young quarterback Drake Maye could use another wide receiver to play alongside Stefon Diggs, DeMario Douglas, and Kendrick Bourne.
Noel’s ability to stretch the field might very well add another element to Mike Vrabel’s offense this year.

Of course, other teams such as the Miami Dolphins, Buffalo Bills, Houston Texans, and San Francisco 49ers could all be looking to add some more firepower to their respective wide receiver rooms too.
