The 2025 NFL Draft is upon us, and so is your need to be prepared for all of tomorrow’s stars. Dive into our spotlight on Tate Ratledge, featuring his scouting report, strengths and weaknesses, his recent draft projection, and where all the experts predict he could land.

Tate Ratledge’s NFL Draft Scouting Report
Tate Ratledge’s evaluation involves a lot of back-and-forth, but he undoubtedly has a path to becoming a solid if unspectacular NFL starter. A two-time National Champion with 37 starts at right guard to his name, experience is a strength of Ratledge’s, but the 24-year old rookie also missed time to lower-body injuries multiple times in his career.
He’s an elite athlete with rare explosiveness, agility, and second-level mobility, but at almost 6’7″, with arms just over 32″, his build is a bit unorthodox. He plays taller than preferred, and can be coaxed into lurching with his average reach, and those two issues can impact his balance and leverage.
Nevertheless, Ratledge makes up for these flaws with his athleticism, football IQ, flexibility, and grating physicality, and he should be able to carve out a respectable starting career.
Tate Ratledge’s NFL Draft Projection
In CSN’s 7-Round 2025 NFL Mock Draft from April 12, Ratledge landed in Round 3 with the 91st overall pick. James Fragoza has this to say:
Baltimore’s offensive line was a key factor in Derrick Henry’s stellar 2024 season, but there’s always room for improvement on the interior. Tate Ratledge has the raw power and technique to be that upgrade the Ravens need, reinforcing their backfield protection.
And in CSN’s recent 3-Round 2025 NFL Mock Draft, Brian Burden had this to say about Ratledge’s selection to the New York Giants in Round 3 with the 65th pick:
The Giants, after taking Conerly last round, double down on the line and bring in Ratledge, a gamer who was named first-team All-SEC in 2023 and an All-American in 2024 despite missing four games. He led a unit that dominated at times over multiple championship seasons.
