It is Draft Day, which means there are plenty of rumors and reports swirling around the top prospects in this year’s draft class. Now, it is time to analyze the significance of those rumors.

Jaxson Dart to the New York Giants?
The New York Giants currently have the No. 3 overall pick and are looking for a long-term franchise quarterback.
That long-term answer could now be identified.
According to ESPN insider Dan Graziano, Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart is believed to be the team’s preference with the third pick.

The All-SEC quarterback threw for over 4,200 yards and 29 touchdowns last season while completing over 69% of his passes.
He also rushed for 614 yards back in 2022.
Simply put, if he were to get drafted by the Giants, he could learn from Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston before eventually taking the reins as the starter.
A Wait on Cornerbacks?
NFL Network insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero recently chatted about the prospect of a cornerback not being drafted inside the top 20 picks of the first round.
Here is what Rapoport had to say:
“I’m going with fact on that one…It’s not a great corner class…Would you have asked me a month or so ago, I would’ve said that’s insane.”
Maxwell Hairston, Trey Amos, and Will Johnson are some of the best at the position. It’s just a matter of fit at this point.
Will Cam Ward Get His Wish?
Projected No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward will likely be drafted by the Tennessee Titans at the start of the NFL Draft. Now, it has come to light that he would like to wear the No. 1 jersey in Tennessee.
The problem is that it was retired in 2006 after Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Warren Moon donned it for many years. Moon recently spoke about letting Ward wear the No. 1 jersey.
“I’m thinking about it.”

Ward wore No. 1 while at both Washington State and Miami, and he is now looking to wear it at the NFL level.
Time will tell if Moon gives him the okay to do just that.
