Fresh off winning a national championship, the Ohio State Buckeyes will be well represented in this year’s NFL Draft. In fact, they could end up setting an NFL Draft record by the time the weekend is over.

Buckeyes Aim for Record-Breaking Draft Class With Natty Winners Ohio State
If you are a true college football fan, you know that few schools produce more talent than Ohio State. This year, that is certainly the case. The Buckeyes have 17 players who are representing the school in this year’s draft, which leads the country.
If all 17 end up getting drafted, that would break the current NFL Draft record held by the Georgia Bulldogs, who had 15 players drafted back in 2022.
At minimum, if 15 Buckeyes are selected between now and the end of the weekend, it would be a school record and tie Georgia’s record.
Time will tell if they can find a way to get it done.
The Top Available Ohio State Players
Offensive tackle Josh Simmons and wide receiver Emeka Egbuka are projected to be late-first-round picks. Then, it gets very interesting with plenty of other impactful Buckeyes players slated to go in the middle rounds. 1,000-yard running backs TreVeyon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins will have their fair share of teams after them.
All-Big Ten defensive end Jack Sawyer has starting potential in this league and could go sooner rather than later. Of course, quarterback Will Howard is one of the key players in the entire draft. He showed up in a big way this year after transferring over from Kansas State this past season.
If he doesn’t play at the high level he did, perhaps a national championship will not come to Columbus in 2025. Defensive backs Lathan Ransom, Denzel Burke, and Jordan Hancock are also projected to be drafted late.

Head coach Ryan Day and his staff deserve all the credit in the world for developing these players into what they are today.
If the Buckeyes tie or even break Georgia’s record, that 2024-2025 team will be remembered even more in Ohio.
