Top 8 Carson Beck Jokes Cracking Up the Internet As Miami Struggles To Put Points Against Aggies During Playoff Showdown

The College Football Playoff game between the Miami Hurricanes of Carson Beck and the Texas A&M Aggies of Marcel Reed at Kyle Field today has been a complete defensive festival. It’s the first scoreless game at halftime in the history of the CFP.

Not only have the defenses been on point, but the quarterback play has been poor on both sides of the field, and the special teams have been highly inconsistent, with both teams missing easy field goals.

However, fans have turned especially on Miami’s Carson Beck as the main reason why the Hurricanes aren’t ahead in their game.

Both teams have missed key opportunities to get ahead.

Some fans have mocked Carson Beck’s clock management in the first half.

Texas A&M’s defense has put a lot of pressure on Carson Beck.

It’s safe to say neither quarterback is having the best day.

Fumbles, Missed Field Goals, and Missed Opportunities During Miami vs. Texas A&M

The game between the ‘Canes and the Aggies has been a tale of misexecution by the offenses and the special teams so far. The Aggies had one fumble by quarterback Marcel Reed and a 22-yard blocked field goal kick by Jared Zirkel.

On top of that, they missed a fake punt attempt, which caused a turnover on downs. The blocked field goal is especially egregious since they had previously made a big breakthrough with a 59-yard pass, which put the Aggies on the red zone for the first time of the game.

The Hurricanes, in turn, have failed two field goals in the second quarter, a 47-yarder and a 40-yarder, which were seemingly impacted by the wind at College Station. The first 47-yard field goal attempt was especially frustrating, as the drive had started with a 55-yard punt return by Malachi Toney, which seemed destined for a touchdown until he tripped and fell.
