Texas QB Commit Dia Bell Partners With Gatorade in High-Profile NIL Deal

According to On3, Bell recently signed a partnership deal with Gatorade after he became the Gatorade Player of the Year in Florida last season.

The Plantation American Heritage High School signal-caller threw for 2,597 yards and 29 touchdowns for his team.

As On3 noted, he joins current Florida quarterback DJ Lagway as the only players from Florida to win the award and sign with the company.

As Bell prepares for his senior season, he also has his eyes set on making his mark in Austin under head coach Steve Sarkisian, who has been known to mold some of the nation’s best quarterbacks.

    Bell Joins Steve Sarkisian

Bell will be heading to play for an offensive guru in 2026 when he links up with Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian. Sarkisian just sent quarterback Quinn Ewers to the NFL, and he will soon send Arch Manning there in a couple of years if everything pans out the way most experts think.

Before Sarkisian arrived in Austin in 2021, he sent plenty of other great college quarterbacks to the NFL in other roles.

Nearly two decades ago, as an offensive assistant, he guided USC quarterbacks such as Matt Leinart and Mark Sanchez to prominence.

While he was the head coach at Washington, he molded Jake Locker into a first-round pick. As an offensive assistant under Nick Saban at Alabama, he also prepared Tua Tagovailoa and Mac Jones for life in the NFL.

As things look right now, Bell has decided to commit to Texas for 2026. If he plays with the same intensity, athleticism, and desire, he has a chance to be a great player for years to come.

Due to the NFL’s restrictions on players seeking to enter the draft, he will likely have to sit behind Manning for at least one season to start his college career.
